Andy & Mary Ann Marcum are the founders of the Ark Of Mercy Church of God Coffee House. They are about reaching the hurting and the lost for Christ. It's not about your status in the community; It's not about your social class in society. They don't care how much you have or don't have. There is only one thing that drives them--if you die today, where will you spend eternity? God birthed this Outreach Ministry into their hearts 12 years ago. Their focus is to reach out to those that others have forgotten about or have thrown away and written them off as hopeless. They reach out to those that have been beaten and battered by life itself. They reach out to the drug addicts and the achoholics. They don't care who you are or what you have done, they want you! The people they reach out to may not feel comfortable in a regular church service or haven't felt welcome in churches. Their main focus is to show these hurting people that they are loved and wanted; To tell them about a Savior who loves them and died for them, so they could be saved and have eternal life, that He wants to wash away all their tears and take all the pain of the past. In the 12 years they have had the Friday night services, they have seen many who have came and met the Lord and went into Eternity that same night. Not long ago a man came and got saved and the church van took him home and he dropped dead in his doorway. That was the last sermon he ever heard and the last prayer he ever prayed. He is with the Lord now. Praise God! But, what if we had not been there? This is why they are here. Their prayer is "God don't let not one slip through our hands and go into eternity lost." Service is at 7:00 PM on Friday nights. They serve a good hot meal, and while they are eating there is awesome singing and preaching. They have a wonderful group of men and women of God who prepare the meals with love for the people. The people know they are loved also. They have dedicated preachers and Bro. Dave who is always faithful to sing and share the love of God to the people. We look forward to seeing you there.
